If you were professionally moved to or from Woodstock, Virginia at any point during your lifetime, chances are very good that you know the name R.J. Lambert (my Grandfather). In February 2008, Aunt Dot compiled the following 20-page document which shares a brief history of the family business, along with memories from family members, some old photos, even business receipts from the 1920’s and 30’s. Enjoy!

Oh wow! I remember so many of the people mentioned in this. I remember Ruth, Johnny and Ronnie the best. I know sometimes when I would be with my grandfather, he would stop to say hi to Ruth. I remember Johnny when he worked the bar at the American Legion. He always had a cig hanging out of his mouth. I almost looked like it had to glued on his lips or it would of fallen out. When I was getting ready to move down here, they were the first place I inquired about moving our stuff, but was told they don;t go out of VA anymore. We had to get NAVL. Thanks so much for sharing this.
