Smalltown U.S.A.

Video-Main Street in Woodstock, Virginia during the Forties

This is another in a series of short home movies that I’ve been editing (while learning how to edit:).  It’s from a collection filmed by the late (uncle) Sam Smith of Woodstock, Virginia , my hometown.

The three young fellows lugging the schoolbooks are my Father and Uncles Jerry and Richard Lambert.  The gentleman carrying the white satchel is Wilmer Stickley, who sold the  Grit Newspaper on the streets of town.  I’ve yet to learn the identities of the two ladies, but what a cool baby stroller!  More videos will follow in the future.
