The Circle of Life

Something just dawned on me today.  I’ve spent the last 7 or 8 or 9 days sitting with my Dad in the hospital (the dates and days of the week have become a blur).  As I order his meals, press the required call button for help or speak with the doctors, nurses and techs, the beeps and buzzers and pagers are muted from time to time by the moans and coughs and groans of his floormates. Two Years after Long-Care Help

I was gonna write something angry today, seeing as to how I’m still pissed at the Shenandoah Valley Teen Challenge people, whom I helped and worked with, before I got got sick two years ago, after which they stopped talking to me.  Seems that I violated God’s rules of payment.  So, instead, I thought I’d write something strangely nice. Hey Mel !

Some twenty months ago, I went to the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital to make an appointment for my first of many Physical Therapy sessions. After completing the usual paperwork, an appointment date was set. The woman who was helping with the formalities wrapped things up by saying “You’ll be working with Melanie, you’re gonna like her”.
